What you share

When you create a watchlist, we save your email address, Japan destinations, arrival and departure dates, selected interests, optional personal preferences, and a record of your consent. Please do not include sensitive personal information in the optional field.

How we use it

We use your information to store your Trip Watch for your specific trip.We send a verification email first. After you confirm, we personally research and email relevant discoveries and reminders during our pilot. These may include clearly labelled affiliate recommendations. There is no fixed schedule or guarantee of availability. We do not sell your information.

Where it goes

Trip information is stored in Supabase, our database provider. When deployed, Vercel hosts the website and processes website requests.Resend delivers verification emails and records delivery, bounce and complaint events. Your email address and verification link are processed for this purpose. We receive a notification when you confirm and use Zoho Mail to send personally curated recommendations and handle replies. We do not enable email open or click tracking during this pilot.These providers process information to operate JapanRadar; your customer record stays in our database.

Website analytics

Optional website analytics are not currently enabled. Your form entries stay in page memory until you submit; we do not store them in your browser’s local storage.

Change your mind

Contact JapanRadar to change your trip, withdraw consent, request a copy of your information, or ask us to delete it. You can also email hello@myjapanradar.com. Requests are handled personally during our pilot. Personal recommendations include a stop-email link; you can also reply to stop. We retain a minimal suppression record so future messages remain blocked.

When your trip ends

During the pilot, we review records monthly and delete identifiable trip information within 90 days after departure. If you unsubscribe, we retain only the email address and opt-out record needed to avoid contacting you again, unless you request deletion. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
